Home Health Companions, a progressively growing home care company, is seeking a full time Scheduler. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, experience with staff management, and the ability to schedule Direct Support Professionals (Caregivers and CNA’s) for our 24/7 services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for quality service delivery to our clients for their home care needs, while effectively supervising, scheduling and directing our staff.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Coordinate in-home support services between Caregivers and Clients served
  • Responsible for scheduling approximately 1,000 hours per week
  • On-call responsibility to ensure that all clients are cared for 24/7
  • Assign appropriate Caregivers to Clients and maintain schedules
  • Sense of urgency is a must – no shift must go unfilled
  • Ensure home care services are in compliance with company policies, procedures and state licensing laws
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must present negative COVID-19 test
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a private pay, home health setting is preferred.
  • Able to function well under pressure, make decisions quickly and manage confidential information.
  • Must have a strong desire to assume the responsibilities of the job including understanding that problems/challenges are to be expected and are a normal part of the job on a daily basis.
  • Minimum 2-year college degree or related experience in client/customer service
  • Minimum 3 years of scheduling in a Home Health environment
  • Above average understanding of MS Office – Excel and Word
  • Experience with Healthcare scheduling systems. (i.e. Meditech, Athena, Kronos, Epic, ClearCare)
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • MUST be flexible with work schedule and on-call duties, including weekends and evenings
  • Demonstrate initiative, good judgement, discretion, enthusiasm and desire to expand and build on a great business.
  • Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License, Auto Insurance with your name listed, and ability to pass a background check.
