Job Details

The Recruiter & Care Coordinator is primarily responsible for recruiting & scheduling care givers to fulfill client needs.  The Recruiter Team Lead is expected to ensure the day-to-day recruiting & scheduling program operations run smoothly as well as support the day-to-day functions of the office, consistently providing quality service to clients, while effectively supervising, scheduling, and directing caregiver staff.

Responsibilities and Duties

Recruiting

  • Identify and develop relationships with recruitment sources in the community to attract applicants to apply to our agency (e.g. schools, job fairs, community events, referrals).
  • Manage online job posting (content, schedule) to attract qualified candidates at schools, job fairs, community events, etc.
  • Maintain social media presence to support recruitment strategy in collaboration with Human Resources.

Selection

  • Assist in hiring sufficient number of caregivers to meet the needs of the agency while maintaining hiring standards. This includes application screening, interviews (over-the-phone and in-person) and job offer. The recruitment goals are set by the President.
  • Ensure new hires have completed all appropriate  new-hire paperwork and meet all minimum qualifications in compliance of Home Health Companions policies.

On-Boarding of new hires

  • Schedule and run new hire orientation sessions.
  • Assist in creating employee badges, and establish online access to caregiver portal for all new hires.
  • Collaborate with team to allocate new caregivers to clients based on open shifts and client/family requests.
  • Assist in monitoring of personnel changes, and ensuring the employee database contains up-to-date information.
  • Review handbook with each employee during New Hire Orientation and ensure employees are familiar with all policies and procedures.
  • Assist in helping maintain employee files and ensure caregiver certification documentation is compliant.

Scheduler/Staffing

  • Coordinate schedules for caregivers and clients ensuring client needs are met, available shifts are filled, and caregiver staffing is adequately utilized.
  • Provide excellent client service by responding to client and caregiver requests promptly and professionally.
  • Serve as first point of contact for caregiver staff regarding any client updates, questions, or concerns.
  • Ensure home care services are in compliance with company policies, procedures, and state licensing laws.
  • Provide on-call duties as assigned to ensure client needs are met and caregivers are adequately assigned; as necessary, and when unable to assign a caregiver to an open shift, fill in as a caregiver.
  • Monitor and maintain various metrics related to caregivers and clients and report to team weekly.
  • Respond in a timely, calm, and creative manner to last minute scheduling needs.
  • Maintain the Dashboard in ClearCare and distribute data to the appropriate department or supervisor.
  • Develop excellent relationships with clients, families, staff, and community.
  • Maintain database integrity of caregivers, clients, and schedules.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of most up-to-date staff and client schedules, availability, and preferences.
  • Provide support to other departments as needed.
  • Perform office duties including generating reports, faxing, filing, copying; e-mailing; and other clerical and analytical responsibilities as needed.

  • Above average skills in Microsoft Office and proficiency with Google.
  • Thorough understanding of ClearCare.
  • Must be able to read, write, understand and communicate in the English language.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE (INCLUDING LICENSES, CERTIFICATE, REGISTRTIONS):

  • High school graduate or equivalent is required. Associate or higher degree a plus.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Experience in home care, healthcare, or an environment serving the senior population is preferred.

  • Ability to lift approximately 20 pounds.
  • Ability to work at a desk or computer for most of the shift.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to work on-call beyond a 40-hour workweek as needed.
  • Ability to work beyond on an 8-hour workday as needed.
  • Required to work in the office, except during after-hours on-call time periods.
  • Required to drive to and work in client/patient homes when unable to assign caregivers to fill available shifts.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Caregiver and/or CNA
  • At least 2 years of experience with Dementia
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid TX driver’s license & TX auto insurance with your name listed as a driver
  • Current TB test; proof must be provided within 30 days of hire
  • CNA License highly desired, but not required
