Our response to the coronavirus (COVID-19)

Our hearts go out to those close to us and around the world affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19). With the virus continuing to impact communities throughout Texas, we want you to be aware of the diligence with which we approach caregiving.

Our #1 is priority is the health and safety of our clients and caregivers.

As a healthcare agency, we train our caregivers in best-practice hygiene protocols, including correct hand-washing technique and use of gloves in caring for our clients.

Employees are taught to identify symptoms of illness in themselves and the people they care for each day.

If a caregiver is ill, they are required to stay home. Home Health Companions will provide an alternate caregiver while they recover.

Caregivers must provide a doctor’s clearance before returning to work.

We do not want to make light of the coronavirus implications; each year we face outbreaks of the flu and other contagious illnesses. Our best practices are designed to protect those we care for and our employees from these outbreaks.

Nothing is more important to us than the health and well-being of our employees, staff, and clients In that spirit, we ask you to please take care of yourselves and others. Please follow CDC guidelines for preventing the spread of this virus and seek information from knowledgeable and trusted sources.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
