Home Health Companions is known for providing safe, reliable, outstanding care for families in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. We understand that hiring qualified, trustworthy nurses and caregivers for our team is the single most important thing we do. We make sure that every Home Health Companions’ employee is certified, trained and qualified to serve in the homes of our clients. We follow and adhere to all state licensing protocol and perform extensive background checks using national databases on all our employees.
We were recently informed of a former employee who has been charged in a string of attacks on the elderly. This individual was not employed at Home Health Companions at the time of the reported crimes. His last day of employment was in January 2016. We are cooperating with authorities and answering their questions as they conduct their investigation. Prior to his employment, we performed the rigorous background checks as we do all of our employees. However, we were recently informed by authorities that the name and credentials he presented our company was a stolen identity. All of the clients whom he cared for under our employment are well and have been accounted for. We are currently reviewing our hiring processes to see how we might make our already scrupulous process even stronger under similar circumstances.
