Our founder, Lisa Shardon, first opened the doors to Home Health Companions in 2011. Since day one, we have been a caregiving company dedicated to providing a high level of concierge care for those who would settle for nothing less than the best.

Yes, all of our caregivers are fully insured and bonded, for your peace of mind.

Q: What if my caregiver is sick and cannot make it to my house?
We know that situations arise that may prevent a person’s primary caregiver from being available. With Home Health Companions, you will never be without a caregiver. We have fully trained and experienced on-call caregivers at the ready so we can ensure your service is never interrupted.
Q: Are your home care services covered through Medicare, Medicaid, or insurance?
We accept long-term care insurance, veterans’ benefits, and private pay. Our services are not currently covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or health insurance.
Q: What kind of training do your caregivers receive?
We’re pleased to provide extensive, ongoing training to our care professionals with oversight from an RN. We also offer Nurse Aide Training through Home Health Companions Services which prepares graduates for CNA Certification.

At Home Health Companions, you can receive care at home for virtually any need! With services ranging from non-clinical home care services to skilled nursing and aging life care services, we provide a seamless solution to evolving care needs. We begin with a free in-home consultation to determine the best solution for your circumstances. We then create a customized care plan that will be monitored regularly to ensure the right level of care is always provided at the right time.
Q: What are my payment options for home care services?
We’re pleased to offer several payment options including private pay, long-term care insurance, and veterans’ benefits. Contact us for assistance in utilizing any benefits to which you are entitled.
Q: Is your agency licensed?
Yes, we are fully licensed by Texas Health and Human Services in 13 counties in Texas.
Q: How are your caregivers screened?
All of our caregivers receive a national background check, including criminal, sex offender, and nationwide driver’s license checks, and pre-employment testing which is above the Texas State Requirements.
